Hydrogen separation processes are pretty well known. Normally, electricity is used to separate the Hydrogen from the Oxygen. This sounds like a major scam in the making. In order to be practical, you need to do a large amount of generation and have a lot of demand lined up. It is more practical, say if a whole town, converts over to using Hydrogen. Then it may become practical. You also need ways to store the hydrogen safely and distribute it as well as the correct engines, etc. to burn it. Just saying "we have THE solution, is so...well, let's just say full of kaka.

I am working on an essay for school about Photovoltaics. Energy alternatives, such as Hydrogen generation, are mentioned in several of the articles and books I read to prepare my essay.

Even if they develop a simple method to separate the elements from water, you still are YEARS away from raising the demand level to make it sell.

I only hope I have funds in place in time to join in the shorting of this if they ever raise the P&D level high enough to make it worthwhile.

HYER has an interesting web presence. I scanned a few pages to find this:

They list their current perceived market overseas as about $115 million dollars, and yet expect total revenues to be over $150 million in 2003??? Hello - Is anybody in there?

I'd say they have more market research to do...
