I need to make a decision today on what to do with my TSP (government equivalent of 401K) funds. Our goofy system lets us only make changes at month end but requests must be in by 15th. Our only choices are S&P fund, Bond fund, or fixed rate of a bit under 6%. Right now I'm at 80% S&P / 20% fixed rate. I'm thinking of reducing S&P to around 60%.
So I'm trying to make a guess of where we'll be at end of Feb vs. end of March. Or maybe the better way to look at it
is capital preservation view - odds of a big decline in Feb. vs. big decline in March?

thanks
steve
