Hey DLO and E:

You two Nay-sayers aren't convinced, huh? We'll see. But rallys like this after a week of back sliding are sure what trading is all about. Unfortunately, I'm missing most of it as I already took what little profits I had.

The good volume today and continued strength at every pullback lead me to think this is real. We have a continuation of strength in the semi's, and an apparent turn around in the opticals. Lots of side line money has been waiting and I think we're seeing it come in. I've tried all morning to get more ISSI and IDTI on a decent pullback and they won't do it. Most of the ones I follow are sitting well above the gaps from this AM.

IF, IF, this is a resumption of the recent rally and I'm playing it like it is, keep in mind the expiration day tomorrow that should pull back a few stocks for new entry points.

Duane, how much are you in at the moment after those sells?
I'm still 80% cash and don't like it.

All:

I'm watching JNPR stall at the 96 area which was it's old support. I'm wondering about some puts in here---seems like a good idea given its sympathy rise with CIEN today.

Duane,

Remember the bear market in semis? I learned a lot from that. You couldn't give semiconductor stocks away and Nasdaq was considered a fool's market full of risky 4-letter stocks.

Can we get down to that level again?....not there yet anyway. Hard to believe that so much money has been lost or has now been given over to a greedy nation's surplus......how much is there left to be suckered in? There seems to be an effort to squeeze smart money out of cash, facing lower and lower interest rates, but it just doesn't want to pay up for companies with slowing prospects. Which is the greater evil? I don't know, but I am guessing smart money won't be fooled by flying pigs.

Sinister times......

E
