>Can you also tell that I'm a proud parent??
Rob, my youngest daughter Lara is finally going to graduate from UCSB in March.
In April she will be eligible for social security benefits if she decides to take them at 62!
Btw
I used to be a billionaire until I had daughters. Now I stand on street corners begging for food!
Seriously. Have a nice trip.:-)

I'm off to Sacto for the rest of the week, to hear my daughter's speech for "Governor" and attend the "VIP" day for parents of such. <g> Sponsored by the YMCA's Youth and Government program, where 2,200 high school kids from around the state re-enact state government. Gov Gray Davis will be speaking. Can you think of one topic to dominate the Q&A period? (Just got my utility bill -- yea, I can think of one <g>)
Can you also tell that I'm a proud parent?? <gg>

Rob,

I sure can and this is one of the best posts in a long time. It should make post of the day. For those of use fortunate enough to have children, there is nothing better to see them succeed and enjoy life. I know this is a financial forum but there are time to take a break at look at the fun we all receive from our family and friends.

Congratulations and if this means much, my largest charity is the YMCA. All the money I do donate to them is earmarked for those that cannot afford memberships. One can donate via the United way but the distribution costs lose some of the money so to speak.

Glenn

PS Let us know how it goes please:-)
