LOR announced the G write-off weeks ago. This is a huge one-time loss and write-off which largely puts G behind it. Look forward to good growth from now on minus G. Stock is worth north of $9 according to conservative analysts I've heard even with a full write-off of entire G investment and LOR has pledged to put no more money into G. G has one year to survive or fold. Buy into the "bad" news because it's already been priced in. Holding at 4.75 now.

TI: Thanks for the nice compliment. Winning the round is nice but I sure am not winning the war (or else I'd be rich). (g) And then we should also re-visit Earlie's views on AMAT of a few days ago before we allow him to take a bow. He expected numbers that were worse than the Street's expectations (and they were). He also expected fairly nasty guidance (and it was). He also expected the stock price to take a nice hit, but it vaulted in the other direction. Thank God for "boxed positions". (g) Best, Earlie
