We have to start somewhere. IT might help if we had laws that were written simply and without loopholes. We currently have a legal system that's full of holes that money can plug. The laws are written to protect the guilty with money and convict the guilty who don't have money. The entire system of justice is a multibillion-dollar industry. I personally don't think this country's intent is to reduce crime. Heck.......just look at all the jobs that are created by crime and most importantly.....look at all the gov't money that is thrown at crime. Where there are gov't contracts there are politicians and we have favors being "paid out". Think of all the unemployment that would exist if everyone behaved themselves? We need a total overwrite of our laws cause they protect white collar crime. Example: A guy that points a gun toward a convenience store clerk and forces him to give him all the money in the register goes to jail. A stock broker who wines and dines you into investing in a stock that he knows is going to dump gets your money and says, " Gee, I'm sorry about that". The two-bit crook goes to jail but the stock broker acted within the law............both took your money but did it in different ways. The law only protects the stock broker and his way of doing business. He has learned to operate within the laws in order to steal your money. The other dummy isn't sophisticated enough to know how to use the vaseline on you! LOL
