Do two wrongs make a right?

Because those two (sort of) got away with it,should Clinton?
If a President commits a crime and gets away with it, does that mean any future President also can?
Or do we stop the slide here?

jraz:

"Both Reagan and Nixon were involved in acts that were considered criminal offenses"

Why is it that all of the Clinton defenders have to eventually resort to the defense that others did it. It seems like the actions of every president since Washington have been used as a justification for his acts. Same as the Nixon folks who argued that others did it.

Maybe they did but Clinton was caught and if not impeached he was exposed. The fact that others did the same (which I don't concede) makes no difference. It is like a bank robber who gets caught justifying what he did by saying that other bank robbers got away.
