I didn't mean to offend either, Greta, and I'm sorry if I did. I just wanted to point out that even some kinds of Xtians find that show offensive.

Ah Greta, you couldn't offend me, my friend.

No, you did me a favor by reminding me that people find the show soothing. I needed the reminder.

I know what you mean about living a life somewhere between the saint and the sinner. I think if we're honest about it, we all do. It's those who are busily accusing others of sinning whose self-knowledge I trust the least.

shhhhh... don't tell. I like the show. I've only watched it a few times, but every time it got to me. They were simplistic, yes, but... heartfelt. and not UNrealistic, I didn't think. Okay, probably sappy. I get choked up by it, and when the white dove flies off, I THINK I should sneer, but I just can't.

I remember watching Della Reese perform many times on tv as a kid. and I've read a number of things about her, and things by her about the show and what she's doing now. I have a lot of respect for her. Cool woman.
