Dems can only eke out a victory if they fool the people by running unknown and therefore mediocre Southern guvs who made lousy Presidents and helped the GOP in being so.

And remember, it was the GOP that passed the Civil Rights Acts, not the congressional Dems.

Patricia Patricia my God it is a fact that the KKK was the spawning ground of many in the Democrat party. Let's not ignore that fact. WHen Bill CLinton talked about apologies it would have been for the Souther Democrats. That wonderful Senator Byrd of West Virginia was a full fledged KKK leader.

Patty, oh Patty,wrong again,it is now and was the democrats then who worked so very hard to keep black people down,you know, union teachers making sure their party stays in power through ignorance, and puulleeease it was the southern dems who fought the civil rights bills ,check algores fathers record on the issue,shameful as it is.Someday blacks will rise above the box dems have put them in and take their rightful place in leadership!

I'll try to scan in the pages of the book...."The Hunting of a President". It may take me a day or so and I'll have to get my 15 year old son's help but I'll give it a shot late tomorrow afternoon.
