Dave, I have noticed it and I don't think it is much of a change. Value stocks tend to do well when the market has a dose of maturity scared into it. They tend to underperform when the market is cocksure that it is going to get rich. I think we have seen both types of days here recently and the value stocks performing accordingly. They have also tended to perform with the so-called defensive stocks recently, though I don't think that is a long term trend.

Value dramatically underperformed the first few months of 2000, as money was sucked into the tech. Value funds were forced to sell to fund liquidation.

Once Nasdaq cracked, value surged. Also caught a bid during the fall swoon. Doesn't say much for what the future holds though.
