Hi Conan - thx [I think :)!] Sometimes, bitter medicine does cure ailment. So, [sorry about the mixed metaphor,] may as well face the music. That said, with regard to your other post, I think it is a bit unfair to compare the young killer whales. I mean, NT didn't lose mkt shr. Rather, the CIENs of the world have the benefit to maintain its focus in the niche mkt.OTOH, NT has to compete globally in most of the telecom and networking segments. Chances not it loses the benefit of discretionary spending on the edge, in both hardware and software. Considering the hastiness of this CC, Ken may be right that NT didn't know. I would think it should be more careful b/c of the low end of the optical component miss 2 Qs ago. So, this is indeed a problem! best, Bosco
