Here's a compromise, raise the threshold of the estate tax to $1 billion.

I would make it $100 million. That's plenty to leave. And make the tax 100% above that.

Exactly.

I think 1 Billion$$ is a good threshold.

Or maybe they could just put a little box to check on the tax return allowing them to give an additional million or so each year. No sense in waiting till they die, and obviously they seem to think the Feds reaallly know how to manage the cash.
