They didn't say how many were shipped. To me they were very vague and gave no real solid answers to any of the DSL questions. The part about flat was for the on going quarter as I heard it, but I heard nothing good or bad that was new news in regard to DSL. It's my opinion they were being mum.

This wasn't in the call, but it's my understanding that some trials in Asia...Japan I think, for VeDSL are under way.

Well I think I've got an idea of why ADI didn't give particulars on DSL chipset sales as they have in the past.

If they had said demand was real strong many ADI investors would just move their money to ADI customers, which hurts ADI's share price.

If they had said demand was down in a big way...it would hurt ADI and it's partners along with their customers.

They didn't say much and played it safe IMO, even if it's an ace in the hole...now wasn't the time to play it.

Also not one analyst asked about the order with TSMC to make 10 million ADI Eagle chipsets , and nothing was said about it in the CC. That I found to be strange...since I'd heard of it about 72 hours before it showed up in print, but of course they must have too...I guess.
