That's the trouble with today's markets. If you want to make money, you've got to be very vigilant.

And fast. And gutsy. Boy, I didn't think Nortel would see 30 this fast. Maybe 40 this month, but batten the hatches, going to be a storm tomorrow. I was thinking today that if I'd gone in yesterday around noon (Eastern), I could have made 10% on my money.

Flip side is leave it one more closing and lose 35%. Think I'll stay cash a little while longer. Maybe it's time to start following puts and calls closer.

Taking (small) losses is the number 1 key to survival in any market.
