Customers are throwing out their expensive SONET conversion stuff and replacing it with DWDM switches which are cheaper and allow them to make money.

Where is the evidence for that interesting bit of speculation?

Clay, I'll agree that it isn't a major component of the Q1 numbers, but that it is a factor looking out for the rest of the year. I'd urge you to parse the comments on carrier spending re: ensuring that every capex dollar brings in revenue this year. While yes, you have Johnnie R. making a statement in the clip to the contrary, but after today are you really making book on his spin?
