Pray. LOL
Seriously I loaded up with a lot of PUTs today, but my entries on some were not that great (like CIEN at 88). Was sweating this mess out, big big time. I need more patience.

Patience mish, be patient.
Did OK on others, but in general too too early.

I am hoping for (but do not expect), a gap down that just goes straight down. I am pretty sure we gap down but sometimes screwy things happen overnight.

We are still struggling with options expiry, but I see they rallied QQQ exactly to max pain at 60.

Someone help me out here. Do index options expire on the open tomorrow? If so, we might not gap down as hard as we see the futures looking now. Perhaps they "showing us the worst right now" then go softer into the open before they wack us later.

Horesegirl has it 100% correct. Do not trust this market.
Now, today has me not trusting it (either long or short) as this runup of AMAT and a couple of others I have with bad earnings was simply irrational (except for expirations nonsense).

I will
1) Pay more attention to WalkingShadow when he warns about silent accumulation
2) Be more aware of what is happening around options expiry time

At this time I think you have it correct.
Plays with QQQ, if you can guess the short term trend, will avoid these kind of pressures on guessing individual stocks.
