AD, Sorry the question was probably not phrased right. I was just wondering if there was any sort of strange complications. My approach on taxes sounds like yours, I just pay them, and don't worry about paying the high rate. One exception is if I want to sell something and I am close to the 12 month qualifying period for a long term gain. Then I will usually wait to sell to get the lower tax rate. Another is that I pay attention to all the details of the IRS wash sale rules. Sorry, I am probably getting off topic here for this thread, and the non-USA thread members of course would not have an interest in this discussion.
