"I understand there are only a few major customers and I presume one can find them."

Here is a list. I would not call it a "few". Plus there are a number of unannounced customers.

ciena.com

>>. But how do you find out who the suppliers are and what $$ value does CIEN purchase from them.<<

By following the company for a long time. Nobody serves you a dish of DD on a silver platter...<g> Don't take that the wrong way...I am just saying a lot of this is good old leg work.

>>Do they also talk about a reduction in purchases by CIEN or just overall reduction of their revenue some of which may be due to CIEN?<<

Actually if you go back on this thread, you will find I have posted a number of times about suppliers CCs and how they are increasingly mentioning increased business from Ciena. I am not sure where you are getting this talk of a reduction, but it is simply not true. And some like AFOP are actually projecting a healthy increase in business from Ciena for the rest of the year. Another clue, for example, on increased business was given by NUFO, which mentioned Ciena, and which led me to believe Ciena would be announcing shipments to ultra-long haul customers. Which it did today on the CC (and mentioned others trialing.) I could go on and on, but I suggest going back to many of the posts here on this thread. Regards.
