Serveral Drillers Looking Pretty Ripe in the S/T

Check out the daily chart and T/A indicators for our beloved PDE.

If that's not a predictable trading pattern, I don't know what is.

CCI, MACD, Stochastics, and Wilder RSI all pointing down or about to roll over. Seems ripe for a $4-6 fall in the short term.

ESV is very similar. DO, too. Heck, even RIG is looking ripe. ;-)

So, how 'bout it, boys and grrls. Any takers?

Hey, General! How 'bout you? Here's a chance to show 'dem pyrate colors! ;-)

BTW Alex, hear you RE:

"hand sitting"(g).

No joke. It's also a challenge for me.

In Aug and Sep of 99' had hi cash reserves BUT started getting back in too early. Did make some good entries in Dec, early Jan 2k and during the Feb dip to double so it wasn't a big problem.

Last fall was better. Got the cash high early (Sept/Oct) and was more disciplined and selective in the limited number of ST trades I did attempt. So gave back very little of my gains into Sept.

Part of what's helped me in the past 4 or 5 years is ignoring a lot of the noise. No Barrons, IBD, WSJ, Forbes, Biz Wk, CNBC, W.S. Week, etc etc.

Brainstorm with a few people here. But other than that? Concentrate completely on my own TA, FA and stick to improving on what I'm already proficient at. It's easy to chase some new sector or trading method. But learned years ago that's usually counterproductive for me. Just keep building on the strengths I already have is what's helped me the most.

Look forward to you sharing some of your specific TA tools and how you use them to identify opportunities AND no no's.

Those who don't use TA can tune out if they want to. Am not interested in being a missionary among the heathens heres, lol. Rather some occasional round table brain storming among the faithful. Bull, Razor, Slider, Roebear and I have all done a lot of TA and chartwork.

Can only speak for myself. But I'll bet there might be quite a bit of participation on slow market days, in the evening or on a weekend. As long as my 2 guys aren't playing soccer(g)

Great 6-6 barnburner in indoor earlier tonight!

Cheers
