Oh piddle. I wasn't EXCITED. (If you think that was excited, you should see me at a swim meet or when I lose a pound). I forget WHY I thought it was interesting now. How to win any argument with penni without burning a single brain cell: just wait 24 hours and she won't remember what you were talking about. I am packing-- we leave for Ithaca in the morning. They tell us it's a beautiful town, so we're looking forward to it. I have to pack Ammo- he has been on the phone for two hours. He never speaks. He just sits and listens and plays the keyboard. I hover around and ask leading questions but he won't tell me anything-- he just says it's business. SHE has a very nice business voice. The first time he took a girl out he told us it wasn't a date-- he was just picking her up, taking her to the dance, and taking her home. That was probably business too. I wonder if he's afraid I will write about it. What kind of mother does he think I am?
