Perhaps you are thinking of the statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest, the founder of the KKK? If so, I don't hink it's in Tennessee, but even if it is, he was also a Confederate General, so there's some historical significance to his life other than his racial views. At least the statue isn't flying over the State Capitol.
