o/t Data Bits... No; I am not buying CSCO INTC & ADCT on weakness. I stopped out of all my tech - only short here; but I certainly do have CSCO INTC & ADCT on my buy list when the dust settles - as well as SUNW ORCL BEAS SEBL EMC et al. I thought about slowly averaging in to further weakness and anyone doing so - will probably be okay; but I shelved that idea - due to the complete lack of any guidance that is credible here. Lack of guidance creates uncertainity and the Street hates uncertainity - it's that simple. Also; there is no bottom in; when a NT can open 20-30% down overnight. There will be laggards if I miss any unexpected bounce - but, ADCT may remain a laggard even on a DCB - I really like it as a "sane" LT growth story & a LT hold. I just think that anything in Tech - can & may get 20-25% cheaper here; hence I shelved my "average in" thinking. I hoped to catch a DCB in Tech off the 2 Fed cuts; but the continued lack of ANY forward guidance has created a no-win scenario imo. The street is not going to ramp tech into a lack of guidance - the Street hates uncertainity & that's what we have in Tech here - it should be no surprise as Bullsky pointed out that the "commercials" are net short. OPM is keeping tech afloat & a mutual fund redemption run will lead to the final capitulation wash out - everyone has said we need that, its healthy & that will put in an investable bottom - I think we'll get what the market wants & needs - a complete capitulation washout bottom yet to come... Patience & Cash - it's just that simple.
