Thanks Maurice; I prefer the third definition of neologism for dehypothecate. Why not use de-pledge(use Occam's razor as a decision tool)? I find the use of a large number of syllables detracts from clarity. But that may be because of 2 factors: 1) My mother always said look it up in the dictionary and when I did I found simple, clear explanations 2) In my experience long winded multi-syllabic explanations are usually based on weak arguments
