Gold stocks and physical gold are a small portion of my investments. I regard them as hedges against possible financial disruptions rather than as core investment positions, and as such I have selected relatively speculative issues. I have recently bought TVX and DROOY. TVX, although speculative, is almost a value play and is my largest position. DROOY is a good hedge because of their leverage to a significant rise in gold's price.
