Ted, RE: Lu having problems regarding debt due next week

LU has a $2 billion credit line that expires next week, on Thursday.

If that line doesn't get done, Moody's is already on the record as saying that they'll downgrade LU to junk status.

Ted, this is basically the investment bankers pulling a stickup on Lucent. However, they can only get so tough without hurting their own solvency, so I expect a deal to be done at a fairly unfavorable rate, but not a disastrous one.
