Hi Peter,

In the 902-928 MHz band that Ricochet uses for their links to the final user, other systems (cordless phones, baby monitors, some garage door openers) are based on CDMA which does not affect the Ricochet FHMA system other than adding an interfering noise level. Expansion of use of these frequencies is less likely than the 2.4 GHz ISM band where the 802.11-based systems are. Field tests of the operational (and tuned) Ricochet network in San Diego yielded performance levels as expected (over 128 kbps at least 80% of the time, over 200 kbps at least 50% of the time, etc.). So the conclusion is that other interferers are being adequately handled by the Ricochet network.

Your other implication would seem to be that the Ricochet system could somehow be accused of interfering with others. However, they have designed and follow the FCC part 15 regs to the letter. There is an FCC official on their technical advisory board. Their systems have passed FCC approval long ago.

So your points seem to be non-issues.
