Dear Zoltan: Much as I despise the Clinton's I doubt he had the ability to "cook the books". More likely, the price of energy has finally caught up with us. The ups and downs of energy prices are IMMUNE to anything the FED can do, I just hope they are smart enough to not let them desist from continuing to drop interest rates and plowing some liquidity into the market. Otherwise this is going to be a very long year indeed. We need a substantial tax cut NOW and interest rate declines to continue to get out of this with our hide still on. JDN
