Ron, I couldn't agree with you more. Zeev is showing the pitfalls but not offering an alternative.... Left to their own devices, the current Congress, like those before them, will happily sit on their hands and let the SS IOU grow exponentially. This is merely bringing the day of reckoning closer at hand.

Current revenue cannot be left in the hands of present legislators... How can it possibly be accessible when the boomers begin to file? As you suggest means testing may be closer than we want to admit.

The question left to ask is what would be the financial impact of forcing investment of these dollars rather than present fiscal policy? To overcome the lethargy of our legislators, this question will have to be answered to their satisfaction.

I agree with you. Perhaps in this period of time where many are becoming very self sufficient due to change that has taken place in the corporate world, the Government not just the FED will find they too will have to restructure in order to progress.
