Given all the bad news last night and this morning AMAT's strength today(given the recent run-up) is amazing. Wonder if any of this is related to options expiry today. Frankly, given the guidance, I find the TSC interviewee's optimism a little premature. We all know that the cycle will turn up - I don't think anyone can say when. After all, 2001 was 2Q story four months ago, 2H story one month ago and a 2002 story now! Given that, bidding them up now seems like a foolhardy game of chicken (oh yeah, I CALLED the bottom....)
