Thanks for posting the article about IBM and IWOV What an ugly market (again) today! Seeing the closing prices for today, as well as opening my P.G. & E. bill was almost too much for one day! I have really cut back on my energy use......haven't used the gas fireplace in over a month, haven't heated the hot tub, and I have drastically cut back on the heating in my greenhouse. I grow orchids, and my greenhouse is now in the "survival of the fittest" mode. (O.K. Glenn...this is where you laugh at those of us who live in CA!). I've been using the barbecue instead of heating the oven, and using the dishwasher or washer on off hours to save on the California "power drain" peak times. I do feel sorry for all of the professional flower growers in California who may be going out of business due to the tremendous increase in their utility bills. Some of the rose growers in California will most likely lose their businesses, as well as some of the small family owned restaurants who are facing energy bills that are difficult for them to pay. I don't know about your area, but some of the restaurants and dry cleaners are starting to charge an "energy charge" on their bills. Lately, some of my favorite stocks have been the energy related stocks. (CHK, ROYL, TMR, ENE, CPN) Hope you have a good weekend.....I'm working on my taxes this weekend, which is always a major job!
