Probably ORCL and SUNW as well, but the exercise was related to holding period, not stock picking.

Proper stock picking is the key to the gorilla game. The sooner one can identify and purchase a gorilla, the better one's returns will be. Awfully hard to backtest a theory without having a true idea of when entry would be effectuated.

That is similar to saying, heck had I bought $10K worth of <<fill in the blank>> in 1996, I would be a millionaire today.

The world is full of "had I's....."

However, I do believe your underlying premise....even though I came to the game late with the gorilla's and am down on almost every one of mine, I do believe that 10 years from now, the story will be considerably different.
