If what you said is true, TLAB should warn sooner or later. We'll see. As far as fiber optics suppliers like GLW and JDSU are concerned, they couldn't care less what protocol you use (connection-oriented or connectionless) over the glass. The fact that JDSU guided down appears to me that 1) the carriers run out of cash, 2) there is too much fiber lying around without contents to fill it up, 3) fiber gears are becoming commodities.

I hope JDSU doesn't have to warn again after this. NT tripped everyone. If you have to warn, warn just once.

Pat, NT mentioned that "longhaul is severely delayed". I was thinking that meant undersea would see slower revs. They indicated 20% growth annually, but this might be optimistic.
