Hi Ken - I ve sold 75% of my NT. While I do not blame mgt to revise the #s asap, I think CSCO did handle the situation better by stepping down the expectation. The announcement last nite is such an above face that it is getting everyone flat footed. More troubling is the technical behaviour of the stk yesterday. Some people here, including myself, has noticed the intraday reversal. That is on top of a 52wk low set the day before. However, being a NT bull that I was, I ignored the signals. So, I blame myself for my predicament. That said, I think NT could have done us outside shareholders a favor by guiding down the #s gently so people wouldn't have such a violent reaction.

best, Bosco

Kenneth ---90 % of the technology companies including ones that are a lot bigger are saying the same thing ---the economy is sinking and we are headed towards a recession . The FED tried to fight oil inflation last year by raising rates but kill the goose that had been counter balancing inflation ---productivity increases . Have not notice oil going down so the interest rates increase did not work ( Greenspan has no control over a commodity when it is control by a cartel ). He needs to lower rates and increase liquidity to restart the economy ( does not take a rocket scientist to understand this )if he wants to get inflation back under control . NT will be their just like the rest of the large tech caps. They need to cut another 15000 jobs out of the legacy business to bring costs and overhead down( do not wait until the legacy business dies ) plus spend a large amount on R & D to transform the photonic revolution they keep talking about . This way when the economy turns they will be their with the products and the margins to back them up . The worse thing they can do now is nothing

BEST WISHES
