joel....i like the techs, especially the mid to large cap issues that have a reasonable pe,growth in revenues/profits,large float, institutional interest and that have a market presence...many included in the list, but for the moment i'm only buying those that are maintaining an uptrend, and are well off the december lows....my favorites are atml(low risk, around support now), xlnx(medium risk, above support), rmbs(high risk, above support)....qcom looks good, and patiently waiting for intc, msft, csco, et al to firm up a base.....i try to achieve a 15% per annum return.....and attempt to maintain reality.....which allows me to not become emotional over any stock....only tangibles should be applied in analysis....

..... good thing about today is low down volume on those that had high up volume yesterday...

ED - Cisco CEO says U.S. in recession, warns may spread
STOCKHOLM, Feb 17 (Reuters) - The Chief Executive of the world's biggest networking company Cisco Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:CSCO - news) said on Saturday much of the U.S. economy was in a recession and this threatened to spread to the rest of the world.
``It makes no difference what the Federal Reserve or the latest statistics say. What we see now is absolutely not a soft landing. Ask anyone in American manufacturing industry and they will say that we are in a recession,'' Cisco Chief Executive John Chambers said in an interview with Swedish business daily newspaper Finantidningen.
``I wish the American central bank had reacted faster instead of on old statistics. If they had started to lower rates back in November things would look different today,'' he was quoted as saying.

``If the situation does not change before the half year stage there is a risk of a domino effect whereby the rest of the world will be imminently affected.''

Maybe KG won't be so aggressive towards me now!

Best regards,

L
