Elmer,

Overall, Athlon is no longer competitive.

So you are a believer in the Intel marketing, Emperor's New Clothes theory?

Elmer - RE: "Overall, Athlon is no longer competitive."

I know you weren't talking about price when you said competitive, but with the 1.3GHz P4's recent price drop it looks like this P4 will be somewhat price competitive with the upcoming 1.3GHz Athlon. Do you think these two will also be performance competitive or will this P4 blow away the Athlon?

BTW, which has a higher SPECint2000 score, a 1.3GHz P4 or a 1.2GHz Athlon?

<Overall, Athlon is no longer competitive>

You are joking. P4 is the best thing that happened to AMD since IA-64 and RAMBUST. P4 is the reason why I short INTC with impunity every time it attempts to rally.
