i thought this was just an error. My laughing god, it is so easy to just target money so many unknowns.

Lousy timing with Israel still not solved I feel so much empathy for Mr Bush at this moment.

Stocks Tumble As Air Strike Adds Gloom
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks tumbled in mid-afternoon trading on Friday, sinking to fresh lows for the day, after news of a U.S. attack on Iraq filtered through a market already reeling over dour profit outlooks from high-tech bellwethers and a spike in last month's inflation rate.

The Defense Department confirmed air strikes by American and British warplanes on targets south of Baghdad. A Defense Department official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said coalition aircraft struck Iraqi radar systems at about 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. EST. The strikes were in retaliation for increased Iraqi activity to target Western aircraft in the southern no-fly zones, the official said.

The threat isn't so much the anti-aircraft sites recently constructed, but the alleged two nuclear bombs that may have been built. Iraqi scientists may be fearful about whether these alleged bombs will work as designed or if they would work at all, so the concern in the West is low that such bombs would be a threat at this time.

An associated problem is deployment. Saddam may explode them on the Iraqi-Arabian border in order to irradiate the nearby gulf oil fields held by Kuwait, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. This would be a way to do bomb testing. Of course, it ruins much of Iraq's fields too, but to Saddam that isn't as important smashing the infidels.
