Thomas:

How about taking one pick and walking us through what made it a pick for you and then we can see what we think?

My picks were made some time ago; unfortunately I don't have much to invest now. My picks, however, were made first on a qualitative basis fairly akin to GGing (the book wasn't out yet). i.e., when you say picks, I am thinking of the process of coming up with a personal equivalent of a GKI for a portfolio. Valuation did not lead me to those picks.

Valuation only helps with choosing between picks when funds are limited, or choosing price points for purchase or sale. But the picks must be made first, I think.
