Thanks, yes, I'll be watching CNBC at 7:30 to see Gilder; I've never seen him speak. He is, IMO, an amazing writer but I've heard he's the classic absent minded professor type when he speaks. Anyway, despite the crash and burn of several of his picks over the last year, I still believe that several of his fundamental theses --- (law of the Telecosm is driving tech now (bandwidth doubling every 100 days), at a much faster rate than Moore's law; CDMA will ultimately triumph in wireless; computer functions are disaggregating across the net (the "Hollowing out" of the computer); "storewidth" paradigms, etc.) --- are all dead-on. From a macro perspective I think he's the best tech writer out there. A hell of a lot of stocks he didn't pick are down 90% also.
