Thanks for catching the Paul O'Neill comments, I've been busy and missed them totally.
The backing & filling and re-statements of the past few days seem to confirm your thesis that
they (Treasury & Fed) need to SLOWLY walk down the dollar...

So we may see the dollar take a few steps down ...
(What's the old pharse - "Three steps and a stumble " or is it " Two steps..." ?)

On the use of home re-financing money - at one time much of that money went into the stock market
(probably overwhelmingly into Nasdaq & tech stocks) in addition to consumer spending.

Do you have a more detail view from your sources as to where people will use this money ?
