Casaubon: I started typing an answer to your post and was into five paragraphs before I knew it. I decided that I would want to look that over before I posted it publicly. Let me just say, that all plans have to be tailored for each trade and for each trader's risk tolerance. Sometimes, the stock does not move in your favor, if your stop loss is tagged, commissions are just to cheap not to react. If the stock begins to behave as you expected, all things still being equal when you made your initial decision to trade the stock, initiate a new position complete with new stop loss and profit points.
