That was my second plunge. First was when we were drifting and the motor hung on an illegal net two weeks after the ice went out. This was before trim and tilt. I hoisted the motor (old 85 horse) and back down it went. I grabbed and was tossed into the lake. 40 degrees and a 12 mile run to camp. I didn't stop for the dock and parked my boat on the beach. I couldn't have been colder if I spent the night in a meat locker.
