Boots & Coots International Well Control Inc. (WEL ) retreated a bit from its 64% regular-session gain, falling 5.5% to $1.04 after the bell. The company was among the first in Iraq to fight the oil well fires.

Oil well firefighter Boots & Coots International (WEL: news, chart, profile) said late Friday that its board rejected a restructuring proposed by Checkpoint Business that would have required a Chapter 11 bankruptcy and cancellation of its common shares. Boots & Coots, which has a contract to battle Iraqi fires, said it had fully paid its indebtedness to Checkpoint. Shares jumped in Friday's after-hours trading.
