My postioning in the market occurs AFTER the DD and evidence lead me to those decisions NOT before, lol.

Would quote this from pbd's 2nd url that you may have overlooked.

"But just as easily you could say that, whatever its flaws, the index is probably reasonably consistent through time -- so the fact that the index is at 14-year bullish highs must stand, on its own terms, as an important technical signal.

I take the index seriously. But at the same time, it's only one of many inputs. And virtually all the others are telling me that sentiment is bearish."

The truth is Mike, Investors Intelligence and some of these other sentiment surveys have a long consistent record through numerous bull and bear markets as ONE of many tools that identify market tops and bottoms.

How many Bear Markets have you worked in Mike? How about pbd?

Have either of your seen these tools actually work by registering extremes at major lows and highs? I have and they do a good job.
