OK I give up. I thought that a simple six letter word, well understood by most physicists, could help one understand my attitude towards the use of polysyllabic words where a simpler one would improve clarity. But I now can see that if one needs 5 minutes to understand a six letter word then I'd better change my attitude in order to improve communication. Or at least communication time. Your KISS suggestion is appropriate. WRT the comma thing I thought it was an apostrophe. I still think that dehypothecate, since it can't be found via IT, must be considered to be suspect.
