He expressed his usual fiber-optic over PC-centric view, and specifically mentioned GX and AVNX as significant plays for his vision of the future. Welcome any other comments on the interview.

He was like an excitable kid with a new toy. He was extremely confident of the future of the internet and its driving technologies. He spoke of the bandwidth explosion coming over the next five years alone. He paid tribute to the contributions of Bill Gates and others, while panning their future roles. He mentioned NUFO excitedly(describes all his comments, IMO). Decried the fall in Avanex yesterday as crazy big. Stated GSTRF remains a wonderful technology that is going to make someone a lot of money, though it has devastated investors to date.

He repeated again that TV as we know it is as good as dead, but that quality programing will increase in value.

While many will reasonably view his enthusiasm as fanatical and scary, personally, I clearly see he is infectuous, and he makes me grin, as I suspect the man is generally correct.
