If there's supporting evidence to show that they did "this" despite claiming they were "unaware of us doing any of this or of any plans to do this.” then it may be the end of quite a few things in addition to RMBS.

The recent anti-submarine patent decision by the Federal Circuit in the Festo case should be bolstered by the RMBS disclosures and litigation. [http://www.eet.com/story/OEG20010209S0018]

No matter what happens in these cases many things will change in the tech sector based on the outcomes. But that's just a personal opinion. Either way it could present a sterling opportunity for AMD if it makes good with its 64 bit design.

Awesome find, Chuck. There's no timeline on the Electronic News story. Do you know when it came out? Rambus actually rose a little in the aftermarket.

PS, kudos to Cahners for taking the initiative:
Electronic News filed a motion with the U.S. District Court of San Jose to release the documents. A judge did so today.
