What idiot did that? I will straighten him out: Ish is a man of steadfast conservative values, an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of a guy; the sort of fellow who thinks that you start with the basics, and that until the government can do a good job of maintaining roads and schools, it ought not get too ambitious to solve all of our problems; and someone fretful that ideas like honor, duty, and self- reliance no longer resonate with too many young people. To call him liberal is like calling him a meddling dimwit, someone who rationalizes his opportunism as high- mindedness, and feeds on the misery of the poor instead of helping them. Please respect the man's convictions.......
