Nortel agreed to hand over $2.5 billion in common shares on closing of the Zurich deal

Wow. The timing of this could be huge. It Nortel has already handed over the stock, than JDSU just lost about 33% of its investment (over 800 million dollars) the past few days.

However, if the Zurich deal has not closed yet, then JDSU will get a lot more NT shares - however many it takes to add up to 2.5 billion dollars. It could be a nice windfall down the line.

In other words, did JDSU get 2.5 billion dollars of NT at $30 a share (last week) or $20 a share (current value of NT). Anyone know the details?
