Hi A, Generally that's exactly the way that works. The reporting methods by VL seem to wait a very long time to upgrade to a #1. Sometimes lots of fertile ground has been passed over by that time.

As a group, the companies on that list have been pretty good investments. I started a mock portfolio years ago with a group of the highest BETA stocks on the "Highest Growth Stocks" list. Most all of those companies (this was in '94, I believe) have done very well over time. it's amazing how stable that list is, also. There appears to be some forgiveness built in so that if a strong company misses a quarter, they're not immediately bounced from the list.

I intend to keep adding new stocks to the PIC list as new #5's appear weekly. I haven't figured out how to eliminate any from the list. Maybe if they fall off the list I'll eliminate them. Anyway, it should be interesting to see what this very simple selection method yields.

Thanks for looking it over.

Best regards, Tom

Hi Todd, Guess what? INTC is being added this week to my PIC list! It's still on the Highest Growth Stocks list (page 39), but is now, this week, rated as a "5" Timeliness, lowest of the low!

They show the price as $34.94 this week, so that's what I'll use to enter it in the Portfolio.
