I got the same take. Nothing in that article suggests anything different than what Rambus has argued.

Surrounded by a number of inflammatory quotes from Hyundai's executives gives it a certain slant however.

There also seems to be some confusion between SDRAM and Synch Link DRAM (SLDRAM). Wasn't SLDRAM an anti-Rambus consortium set up outside of JEDEC.

I hope Rambusite can get the documents for his website.

Dave,

Rambus seems to be depending on the position that they did not actively push standards which required their IP.

However, it seems quite clear that they intentionally hid their patents, in a successful effort to achieve the same effect.

Either way it seems unethical, against JEDEC rules, and possibly illegal under anti-trust law.
